We commemorated the Int’l Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women by Bringing the Public Service Messages of Celebrities and Stories of Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Acid Attack Victim Persons with Disabilities into limelight

Besides the extreme physical trauma associated with acid attack, the survivors face different challenges of permanent, temporary and partial disabilities like:

Permanent scarring of the face and body
Deafness
Loss of vision
Loss of ability to communicate and eat
Respiratory problems
Mobility problems
Social difficulties
Psychological difficulties and many more….

The unfortunate treatment of families and neighborhoods contribute to acid victim women's plight and lead to their disappearance. They suffer even more agony from the isolation they are forced to endure by society unwittingly. Media has a vital role to play in Transforming Tragedy of Women Survivors of Acid Attacks into Empowerment
