First-ever virtual exhibition & conference of stakeholders working for inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Pakistan. PODIEC Virtual was inaugurated by the then President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan – H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi at Sindh Governor’s House.
PODIEC Virtual presented the following salient features:
Virtual Exhibition Halls for NGOs, DPOs, Govt. Departments, Institutions, Corporate Sector. Over 100 stakeholders/ organizations/ institutions from all over Pakistan showcased and raised awareness about their services for PWDs from their virtual booths.
More than 5,000 persons with disabilities, their caregivers and other relevant delegates visited PODIEC Virtual
Accessibility STARTUPS where 10 startups participated to present innovations by Pakistani entrepreneurs by-and-for pwds
Virtual Conference with the theme of “Making Future Inclusive & Accessible”
Dr. Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala, the then WHO Representative in Pakistan gave his Inaugural Address at the Inaugural Session of Conference named “Disability Data and Statistics in Pakistan: Objectives and Challenges”
