The Seminar on “Pakistan – A Progressive Country towards Inclusion & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities” was organized by Determined Pakistan in the Dubai Expo 2020.
As the establishment of Pakistan Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 was all about image building of Pakistan where culture, tourism, trade and other positives of Pakistan were well-presented. Determined Pakistan took the lead in raising awareness about the progress made towards inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Pakistan.
The then first-lady of Pakistan, Honorable Madam Samina Alvi graced this occasion with her presence as Chief Guest from Pakistan, whereas, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Hind Al-Qassimi was the Chief Guest from UAE.
Dr. Maryam Mallick, Technical Advisor, Disability, Rehab., Injury Prevention & Road Safety, WHO Pakistan enlightened the audience on “A Vision towards Disability Inclusive Pakistan”
The Seminar was regarded as the most well-attended ceremony of Pakistan Pavilion where dignitaries attended included HE Henrik Persson, Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Mr. Maher Nasser, Director of the Outreach Division and Commissioner-General of the United Nations, Nadeen Alalami, Programs Research Officer - Dubai Cares and many others.
